Pastor's Note
For more doctrinal information and the Scripture texts used in determining God’s focus for our church please contact Pastor Dan or attend one of the pre-membership classes given quarterly.
The Bible
We believe the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments as verbally inspired by God and inerrant in the original writings. We also believe that these books are God's completed and sufficient revelation for the total well-being of mankind.
God
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, the second person of the Trinity, begotten of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, and is truly 100% both God and man.
Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is the eternal third person of the Trinity, that he actively convicts humanity of sin, gives new life to the sinner, and enables the new believer to become like Jesus Christ through personal guidance and the illumination of God’s Word.
Man
We believe that man was created in the image of God recorded in Genesis 2, that he sinned and brought not only physical death upon humanity but spiritual death as well, and each person now is born with a sin nature that separates one from God.
Salvation
We believe that salvation begins with simple faith in Jesus Christ who died for our sins according to the Scriptures as a perfect sacrifice and representative of mankind, and a salvation that is evidenced by a life of repentance, the fruit of good works, and an ever becoming Christ-likeness.
Perseverance of the Saints
We believe that a person who has experienced a genuine re-birth in Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit will persevere in his or her faith until his home going or Christ’s return.
The Church
We believe that the universal Church is made up of all those who have become the children of God through a spiritual new birth in Jesus Christ. We believe that the church exists in specific locations called the local church where Christ is the head and each individual member makes up the body, equipped with individual spiritual gifts and where all are called to be priests in the service of our Lord and Savior.
Satan
We believe in the existence of Satan, the adversary of God, and his demons. We believe that he was defeated at the cross and that every born-again believer is able to resist him through the power of Christ.
Resurrection
We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord Jesus Christ, His ascension into heaven, and His present life for us as high Priest and Advocate.
Christ's Return
We believe in the visual, bodily return of Jesus Christ for his Church and for the establishment of his millennial kingdom.
Eternity
We believe in the eternal paradise of heaven for those who are born-again and an eternal, conscious place of damnation for those who have rejected Jesus Christ.
Ordinances
We believe that Jesus gave to the church two ordinances: baptism and communion. We believe in believer’s baptism by immersion and practice a symbolic communion that is open to all who profess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
Missions
We believe in local evangelism and worldwide missionary endeavors, in making life-long disciples of Christ, and in the training of future generations to go into their world to share the good news of Jesus Christ.
